The Florida International Panthers and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are set to square off in a Conference USA matchup at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 5 at Ocean Bank Convocation Center. The Panthers will be strutting in after a win while Louisiana Tech will be stumbling in from a loss.

Florida International beat the Southern Miss Golden Eagles 77-67 on Thursday. Florida International's guard Denver Jones was one of the most active players for the team, shooting 7-for-7 from beyond the arc and finishing with 23 points and five dimes.

Meanwhile, Louisiana Tech came up short against the Florida Atlantic Owls on Thursday, falling 83-73. Louisiana Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of forward David Green, who had 18 points along with five rebounds, and forward Kenneth Lofton, Jr., who posted a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards in addition to six assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Lofton, Jr. has had at least ten rebounds.

Florida International is expected to lose this next one by 7.5. They have been good against the spread at home while the Bulldogs have been good against the spread on the road, so something will have to give.
