Virginia @ No. 15 Houston
Current Records: Virginia 1-1; Houston 2-0
What to Know
After a two-game homestand, the Virginia Cavaliers will be on the road. They will take on the #15 Houston Cougars at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Fertitta Center. These two teams are strolling into their game after big wins in their previous games.
Virginia took their matchup against the Radford Highlanders last Friday by a conclusive 73-52 score. The Cavaliers' success was spearheaded by the efforts of guard Armaan Franklin, who shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 21 points, and forward Jayden Gardner, who had 18 points in addition to seven boards.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Houston at home against the Rice Owls last week as the squad secured a 79-46 victory. Houston's guard Marcus Sasser looked sharp as he shot 5-for-9 from downtown and finished with 26 points and five dimes.
Virginia is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Navy Midshipmen Nov. 9 easily too and instead slipped up with a 66-58. In other words, don't count Houston out just yet.
