What to Know

After two games on the road, the Florida Gators are heading back home. Florida and the #2 Auburn Tigers will face off in an SEC battle at 2 p.m. ET Saturday at Stephen C. O'Connell Center. The Gators are out to keep their five-game home win streak alive.

Florida was just a bucket shy of a victory on Tuesday and fell 56-55 to the Texas A&M Aggies. Guard Myreon Jones had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with ten points on 3-for-11 shooting in his 25 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, the Tigers didn't have too much trouble with the Vanderbilt Commodores at home on Wednesday as they won 94-80. Auburn's success was spearheaded by the efforts of forward Walker Kessler, who had 22 points in addition to seven blocks and seven boards, and forward Jabari Smith, who shot 7-for-10 from downtown and finished with 31 points. Kessler has also now had at least four blocks in his past six games. Kessler's points were the most he has had all season.

Florida is expected to lose this next one by 4.5. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the squad has let down bettors in their past five games.

Florida is now 16-10 while the Tigers sit at 24-2. Two stats to keep an eye on: The Gators enter the game with 5.5 blocked shots per game on average, good for 12th best in college basketball. But Auburn is even better: they come into the matchup boasting the most blocked shots per game in college basketball at 8.5. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
