Who's Playing

Sam Houston @ North Texas

Current Records: Sam Houston 3-6; North Texas 5-3

What to Know

The Sam Houston Bearkats will head out on the road to face off against the North Texas Mean Green at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at The Super Pit. North Texas will be strutting in after a win while the Bearkats will be stumbling in from a loss.

Sam Houston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 78-73 to the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners.

Meanwhile, the Massachusetts Minutemen typically have all the answers at home, but this past Saturday North Texas proved too difficult a challenge. North Texas walked away with a 66-57 victory.

Sam Houston have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 11.50 point spread they are up against. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Saturday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

The Bearkats didn't have too much breathing room in their contest with the Mean Green when the teams previously met five seasons ago, but they still walked away with a 76-70 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sam Houston since the squad won't have home-court advantage. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
