What to Know

The Michigan State Spartans lost both of their matches to the #25 Iowa Hawkeyes last season on scores of 78-84 and 58-88, so they're hoping to turn the tables this season. The Spartans and Iowa will face off in a Big Ten battle at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes will be strutting in after a win while MSU will be stumbling in from a loss.

MSU was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 79-74 to the Illinois Fighting Illini. Guard Tyson Walker put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 26 points and five assists.
