The first day of the college basketball season is Nov. 11, Veterans Day, and there are two tremendous games to kick off the campaign. The Armed Forces Classic in Hawaii will give us Michigan State-Arizona and Kansas-Indiana. Now we're getting a look at the uniforms the Jayhawks and Hoosiers -- both programs sponsored by Adidas -- will be wearing.

"The uniforms were designed to pay homage to the stars and stripes of the American flag while upholding the aesthetics of two of college basketball's most-iconic programs," per Adidas' press release.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It will be an emotional and powerful night, and the uniforms will reflect that.

There will also be "REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR" emblazoned on the jerseys. Playing these games in Hawaii is the latest example of how college basketball so appropriately aligns itself with paying respect to the American military.

"The uniforms display a digital camouflage pattern inspired by military fatigues," per Adidas' statement. "Bold contrasting is present along the jersey collar and waistband, using white terrycloth material for sweat management and optimal performance during the game's critical moments."

It works so well because the schools' colors are in coordination with the American flag. Kansas will don "HONOR" blue, Indiana will wear "COURAGE" in red. All told, a very good look.

The Jayhawks are ranked third in CBS Sports' preseason Top 25 (and one). Indiana is ranked ninth.
