No game jerseys, no game shorts, and no problem for Michigan, which dominated Illinois in its Big Ten Tournament opener over Illinois. The Wolverines were involved in a plane crash that delayed the delivery of the uniforms before the tournament, and they used that experience as motivation this weekend.
“God is good man,” Derrick Walton, Jr. said about the run that ended on Sunday with a conference championship win.
The Wolverines momentum from a Thursday win over Illinois rolled into Friday. And into Saturday. And into Sunday. They completed a four-game, four-day sweep to secure the Big Ten’s automatic bid.
