ACC rivals face off when Syracuse (15-14) travels to play North Carolina (21-8) in a showdown on Monday evening. North Carolina is currently two games back and sits in third place in the ACC standings. On the other side, Syracuse is six games behind and is in eighth place in the conference.

Love is also shooting 39 percent from 3-point land. On Feb. 19 against Virginia Tech, Love had 21 points, three rebounds and seven assists.

Grad student forward Brady Manek logs 13.9 points and 5.7 rebounds. Manek has dropped at least 16 points in six of his last nine games. On Feb. 5 against No. 4 Duke, the Oklahoma native had 21 points, six rebounds while shooting 6-for-10 from downtown. Manek provides North Carolina with some scoring in the frontcourt. 

Why Syracuse can cover

Senior guard Buddy Boeheim has been a consistent scorer for Syracuse. He averages a team-high 19.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Boeheim logged at least 20 points in 14 matchups. In his last game, the New York native had 23 points, three assists and three steals. Boeheim is also a threat on the perimeter. He is shooting 33 percent from downtown.

Junior guard Joseph Girard III is putting up 13.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Girard III has scored at least 15 points in six of his last eight games. His best game during this stretch was against NC State on Feb. 2. He had 18 points, 10 assists and two steals. Girard III also causes turnovers, averaging 1.7 steals per game.
