Who's Playing

Gonzaga @ San Francisco

Current Records: Gonzaga 23-2; San Francisco 22-7

What to Know

The #1 Gonzaga Bulldogs and the San Francisco Dons are set to square off in a West Coast matchup at 9 p.m. ET Feb. 24 at War Memorial Gymnasium. The Bulldogs won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy a 10.5-point advantage in the spread.

The Santa Clara Broncos typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday Gonzaga proved too difficult a challenge. Gonzaga enjoyed a cozy 81-69 victory over the Broncos. Gonzaga got double-digit scores from four players: forward Drew Timme (23), guard Andrew Nembhard (21), guard Rasir Bolton (18), and center Chet Holmgren (10). Chet Holmgren has also now had at least three blocks in his past three games.

Meanwhile, San Francisco was totally in charge on Monday, breezing past the Pacific Tigers 104-71 on the road. The margin was wide but not a surprise since the spread was 13 points in San Francisco's favor. Guard Jamaree Bouyea and guard Khalil Shabazz were among the main playmakers for the Dons as the former posted a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists and the latter shot 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and finished with 21 points.

This next game looks promising for the Bulldogs, who are favored by a full 10.5 points. The odds have been favorable for them against the spread on the road this season, even if it's been tough sledding overall. They are 3-1 ATS in away games but only 13-11-1 all in all.

The wins brought Gonzaga up to 23-2 and San Francisco to 22-7. Two stats to keep an eye on: Gonzaga enters the matchup with 5.8 blocked shots per game on average, good for seventh best in college basketball. San Francisco is not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they rank 29th in college basketball when it comes to blocked shots per game, with 4.8 on average. Points in the paint might be hard to come by.
