Who's Playing

Cent. Arkansas @ Missouri State

Current Records: Cent. Arkansas 1-8; Missouri State 7-4

What to Know

The Cent. Arkansas Bears are on the road again this past Saturday and play against the Missouri State Bears at 8 p.m. ET Dec. 18 at JQH Arena. MSU will be strutting in after a victory while Cent. Arkansas will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Cent. Arkansas received a tough blow two weeks ago as they fell 95-82 to the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Meanwhile, MSU strolled past the South Dakota State Jackrabbits with points to spare this past Wednesday, taking the matchup 75-63. MSU got double-digit scores from five players: guard Jaylen Minnett (16), forward Gaige Prim (13), guard Donovan Clay (12), guard Lu'Cye Patterson (11), and guard Ja'Monta Black (10). Minnett had some trouble finding his footing against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles last week, so this was a step in the right direction.

Cent. Arkansas have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 24 point spread they are up against. Those who got lucky with them against the spread three weeks ago might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.

Cent. Arkansas' loss took them down to 1-8 while Missouri State's win pulled them up to 7-4. In Missouri State's win, Lu'Cye Patterson had 11 points and six assists and Jaylen Minnett had 16 points. We'll see if Cent. Arkansas have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
