LAS VEGAS -- This right here was the highlight from the first day of summer hoops out in the desert.
The big matchup on Wednesday night came around 9 p.m. local time, when Thon Maker and Canada Elite took on Team Loaded at Bishop Gorman Catholic High School. Team Loaded features an impressive five-star big man in Bam Adebayo, but Maker got the best of Adebayo on this crossover-and-swish.
Watch the video -- and then enjoy the crowd reactions. I was standing next to a Big Ten coach as this play went down, and the look on his face when the ball went in was spectacular. A lot of these summer games can drone on, but every now and then you get big-time players stepping up and putting on shows, or in this case, a memorable move that will live on the Internet forever.
Maker, who is being pursued by Kentucky , Arizona State , Indiana , Kansas , Arizona and Louisville , is already one of the more well-known players in the Class of 2016, and these past few weeks have only enhanced his reputation.
