Who's Playing

Tulane @ UCF

Current Records: Tulane 7-8; UCF 11-5

What to Know

The UCF Knights are 8-2 against the Tulane Green Wave since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success Saturday. UCF and Tulane will face off in an American Athletic battle at 2 p.m. ET at Addition Financial Arena. The Knights won both of their matches against Tulane last season (53-49 and 84-81) and are aiming for the same result this time around.

The East Carolina Pirates typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday UCF proved too difficult a challenge. UCF came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 92-85. UCF got double-digit scores from four players: guard Darius Perry (19), guard Brandon Mahan (19), guard Darius Johnson (16), and guard Dre Fuller Jr. (12). Darius Perry's performance made up for a slower game against the South Florida Bulls on Saturday. Perry's points were the most he has had all season.

Meanwhile, the Green Wave came up short against the SMU Mustangs on Saturday, falling 75-66. Forward Kevin Cross wasn't much of a difference maker for Tulane; Cross fouled out and turned the ball over five times en route to a 5-for-14, 11-point finish.

The Knights are the favorite in this one, with an expected 7-point margin of victory. Those who got lucky with them against the spread on Tuesday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.

UCF's win lifted them to 11-5 while Tulane's defeat dropped them down to 7-8. In UCF's victory, Perry had 19 points and eight assists and Brandon Mahan had 19 points in addition to five steals. We'll see if Tulane have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
