Joey Bosa's dad calls NFL Combine 'unrealistic' group of exercises
The father of former Ohio State star and potential top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft Joey Bosa called into CBS Sports Radio to discuss the NFL Combine.

When the Gresh Show on CBS Sports Radio put "John from Fort Lauderdale" on the air, there was no way to know we were about to get a behind-the-scenes look at the world currently occupied by former Ohio State star Joey Bosa.
"John" appears to be John Bosa, Joey's father, and he called in unsolicited to "blow off some steam" during this NFL combine weekend.
"I'm blowing off some steam," Bosa said. "My cell phone might not be [good] because I'm on a beach -- it's a beautiful day in Ft. Lauderdale -- but I'm a nervous wreck."
Bosa proceeded to highlight the hours his son has spent since the end of the Buckeyes season preparing for this one event in Indianapolis.
"He's been training specifically for the combine since three days after the bowl game. The combine, as you know, it's a very unrealistic group of exercises. It's not something that a defensive end in college football trains for. They don't train for a 40. They don't train for a standing broad jumps. That's not how football players train!"
Bosa is currently the No. 1 overall prospect according to CBS Sports. The phone number used for the call is registered to John Bosa so we do believe this caller to be the father, making this a really interesting and unexpected sports radio call. His criticisms of the combine are valid and now we see how the pressure on these top picks weighs on an entire family.
