Ohio State assistant coach Greg Schiano was involved in a car accident with a bicyclist on Thursday morning, according to a police report obtained by The Columbus Dispatch.

Schiano struck a 26-year-old student on a bicycle while turning north on Fred Taylor Drive off of West Lane Avenue early on Thursday morning, according to police. The student was taken to the hospital in stable condition with a head injury and is expected to survive.

"We are very concerned about the young man who was injured," an Ohio State spokesman said. "Our concern lies with supporting him in every way we can."

Schiano was not injured in the wreck and was at practice on Thursday. The accident is being investigated by Columbus Police.
