Thanks to Big 12 defenses, there’s not a lot of video of Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield being tackled available on the internet. The Fayetteville Police Department was able to rectify that on Friday.

You may remember that Mayfield was arrested in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in February on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and fleeing. Fayetteville Police released video of Mayfield’s arrest Friday, and in it, you can see Mayfield try to run only to be speared quickly by an officer right into a barrier.

No, Baker, they are not kidding you.

Mayfield apologized for the arrest a few days later, calling it “the biggest mistake of my life.”

Oklahoma has not announced any punishment for Mayfield as of this time. The Sooners open spring practice on March 20, and it’s likely then that coach Bob Stoops will address Mayfield’s arrest.
