Ravens' Jaylon Ferguson: Passes away at age 26
The Ravens announced Wednesday that Ferguson passed away at the age of 26.
Ferguson was a third-round pick by the Ravens in 2019 following an outstanding collegiate career at Louisiana Tech. In three NFL seasons, all with Baltimore, the linebacker played 38 games and recorded 67 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Ferguson (illness) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice session, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Ferguson missed last week's loss to Pittsburgh due to an illness, but he should be back on the field Sunday against the Browns. He's played mainly on special teams across five appearances this season.

Ferguson spent nearly three weeks away from the team after testing positive for the virus on Sept. 24. The 25-year-old played 26 total snaps through the first two games of the season, but it's unclear what his role will be against the Chargers on Sunday.

The Ravens placed Ferguson (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday after a positive test, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Ferguson is unlikely to play Sunday as he would need to be asymptomatic and produce back-to-back negative tests 24 hours apart to clear protocols. The 25-year-old has played 26 total snaps through the first two games and has registered two total tackles.
