Moehrig finished with his lowest amount of takedowns since Week 8, but he did make the most of one of his opportunities Sunday, sacking Sam Darnold in the first quarter. Panthers' Tre'von Moehrig: Registers seven stops in Week 16
Moehrig finished Sunday's 23-20 win over the Buccaneers with seven tackles (five solo).
Moehrig was one of four Carolina defenders to play every single defensive snap, and he finished tied with Claudin Cherelus as the team's third-leading tackler behind Nick Scott (10) and Christian Rozeboom (eight). Sunday marked the seventh time in 15 regular-season games that Moehrig posted at least seven stops, and the fifth-year safety is up to 93 tackles (58 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two pass defenses (one interception). The NFL lifted Moehrig's one-game suspension Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Moehrig was suspended by the league for one game for unsportsmanlike conduct during the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the 49ers. His suspension caused him to be sidelined for the Panthers' 31-28 win over the Rams in Week 13, and his return means Lathan Ransom (thumb) will likely revert to a rotational role in the secondary for Carolina's Week 14 clash against New Orleans this Sunday.

The NFL announced Tuesday that Moehrig has been suspended one game without pay for unsportsmanlike conduct in Monday's 20-9 loss to the 49ers.
Moehrig punched Jauan Jennings below the belt during the fourth quarter, sparking a reaction from Jennings that required both teams to hold players back. Moehrig will appeal the suspension, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. If Moehrig loses his appeal, the Panthers will likely turn to either Demani Richardson or Lathan Ransom to fill in for him at safety Week 13 against the Rams.
