The Saints placed Jeffcoat (undisclosed) on the practice squad injured reserve list Tuesday.
After being cut over the summer, Jeffcoat landed a spot on the Saints' practice squad earlier this month. He's yet to appear in a regular-season NFL contest.

Trajan Jeffcoat: Works out for Texans
Jeffcoat participated in a workout with Houston on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Jeffcoat signed with New Orleans earlier this year after going undrafted, then suffered a dislocated elbow during training camp. The defensive end was waived with an injury designation in late August, but he appears to be back to full health given his ability to work out Friday.

The Saints waived/injured Jeffcoat on Friday, according to the team's official site.
Jeffcoat will head to waivers after suffering a dislocated elbow back in July. If he passes through waivers unclaimed, the defensive end will land on injured reserve and will miss the 2024 campaign unless he is able to reach an injury settlement with the Saints.

Saints' Trajan Jeffcoat: Suffers dislocated elbow
Jeffcoat suffered a dislocated elbow during Thursday's practice session, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
The defensive end was down for several minutes and then carted off, but he sustained no ligament damage and will not need surgery, per Hendrix. The undrafted rookie is fighting for a roster spot. Jeffcoat recorded 100 total tackles in five collegiate seasons at Missouri and Arkansas.

Jeffcoat (undisclosed) was carted off the field during Thursday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
The nature and extent of Jeffcoat's injury are currently unknown, but this doesn't bode well for an undrafted rookie fighting for a depth role on New Orleans' 53-man roster.
