Ravens' Teddye Buchanan: Officially placed on IR
The Ravens placed Buchanan (ACL) on injured reserve Saturday.
Buchanan will miss the remainder of the 2025 campaign due to a torn right ACL suffered in Week 15 against the Bengals, so his placement on IR was anticipated. In Buchanan's stead, Trenton Simpson will now inherit a starting role at inside linebacker alongside Roquan Smith beginning Sunday versus the Patriots.

Ravens' Teddye Buchanan: ACL tear confirmed
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed Monday that Buchanan suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during Sunday's 24-0 win over the Bengals, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
As the Ravens had feared, Buchanan sustained ligament damage to his knee in the blowout win and will now miss the remainder of the season. The rookie linebacker was Baltimore's second-leading tackler through the first 15 weeks of the season, recording 93 stops through 14 contests. Trenton Simpson is now expected to start alongside Roquan Smith at inside linebacker heading into Baltimore's next game Sunday versus New England.

Buchanan is believed to have sustained a torn ACL in his right knee during Sunday's 24-0 win over the Bengals, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Buchanan injured his knee on punt coverage in the first quarter of Sunday's win and had to be carted to the locker room. The 2025 fourth-round pick from California was having a stellar rookie campaign, recording 93 total tackles, 0.5 sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble across 14 appearances.
