  • Mangok Mathiang: Heads to Italy

Mathiang has agreed to join Italian squad Vanoli Cremona, Sportnado.com reports.

Undrafted in 2017 after four seasons at Louisville, Mathiang spent most of last season with the G-League's Greensboro Swarm. He started 36 of his 43 games, averaging 10.8 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks while shooting 51.9 percent. He'll presumably attempt an NBA comeback after refining his skills overseas.

  • Mangok Mathiang: Waived by Charlotte

Mathiang was waived by the Hornets on Wednesday.

After going undrafted in 2017 following four seasons at Louisville, Mathiang signed a two-way contract with the Hornets. He played just 20 minutes at the NBA level, spending most of his time in the G-League. There, with the Greensboro Swarm, he averaged 10.8 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 25.3 minutes. The organization apparently wasn't impressed enough to hang onto Mathiang for another campaign.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Plays in four games

Mathiang partook in four games with the Hornets in 2017-18 and averaged 2.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Mathiang played almost the entire season in the G League but did occasionally get called up by the Hornets. The only noticeable game for the former Louisville standout was on March 22 when he poured in eight points and added four rebounds against the Grizzlies. Mathiang will likely find his way onto a G League team come next season.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Returns to Charlotte

Mathiang was recalled from the G-League's Greensboro Swarm on Thursday.

Mathiang has spent the last three weeks in Greensboro after what was a brief call-up to Charlotte, and his return to the Hornets on Thursday may be a result of both Dwight Howard (suspension) and Cody Zeller (knee) expected to be out for the team's matchup with Memphis. Mathiang has only appeared in three games for the Hornets this season, and likely will remain a deep bench option for Thursday's outing.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Sent to G-League

Mathiang was assigned to the G-League on Monday.

It was a short stint for Mathiang with the big club, as he was just recalled earlier Monday. That said, it's further evidence that Mathiang is well out of the regular rotation considering injuries to Marvin Williams (eye) and Cody Zeller (knee). Look for Mathiang to continue to develop in the G-League for most of the final month of the season.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Returns from G League

The Hornets recalled Mathiang from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Monday.

The Hornets are a bit banged up in the frontcourt with Marvin Williams (eye) and Cody Zeller (knee) nursing injuries, so Mathiang could be called upon to dress Tuesday against the Pelicans if either or both players are unavailable. Even in that scenario, it's unlikely that Mathiang would see much meaningful run, as the rookie has made just three appearances for the Hornets all season. He's seen no more than five minutes in any of those outings.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: 10th double-double

Mathiang totaled 21 points (7-12 FG, 7-9 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 98-88 win over Lakeland.

This was the 25-year-old's second time reaching the 20-point mark and 10th double-double this season. Mathiang has been an inconsistent scorer for the Swarm though. If the former Louisville forward can score in double digits consistently, he is very capable of a double-double night in and night out, as he is averaging 9.2 rebounds this season.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Rejoins big club

The Hornets recalled Mathiang from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Tuesday.

As a player on a two-way contract, Mathiang's stint with the NBA team will likely be brief, though it appears he'll be a candidate to dress for the Hornets in Wednesday's game against the Wizards. Mathiang has been nothing more than an end-of-bench option this season for the Hornets, appearing in only three games and logging no more than five minutes in any contest.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Assigned to G-League

Mathiang was assigned to the G-League's Greensboro Swarm on Tuesday, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Mathiang continues to bounce back and forth between the NBA and the G-League, struggling to find minutes with the Hornets. Until that becomes the case, he has little to no fantasy value.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Recalled from G-League

Mathiang was recalled from the G-League's Greensboro Swarm.

Mathiang has seen just 10 minutes at the NBA level this season. He has played a more prominent role in the G-League, however, posting 11.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks across 24.7 minutes per game.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Assigned to G-League

Mathiang was assigned to the G-League on Thursday.

Mathiang surprisingly played in each of the last two games for the Hornets after taking part in just one game prior to it this season. That said, he still logged a total of just seven minutes during that two-game stretch, so he'll head back to the G-League to get some extended run and work on his overall development. Mathiang should continue to move back and forth between the two rosters, though he can be avoided for fantasy.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Recalled from G-League

Mathiang was recalled from the G-League's Greensboro Swarm on Saturday.

Mathiang has played just three minutes at the NBA level this season, so it seems unlikely he'll see run Saturday against the Trail Blazers, despite being available. He's played a significant role for the Swarm, however, seeing 24.4 minutes per game and averaging 9.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and a block.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Headed back to G-League

Mathiang was assigned to the G-League's Greensboro Swarm on Friday.

Mathiang was recalled to the Hornets for the past week but will head back to Greensboro to see extended minutes on the court. He's averaging 9.9 points and 8.5 rebounds in 24.1 minutes per game with the Swarm and is not expected to play a significant role with the Hornets this season.

  • Hornets' Mangok Mathiang: Recalled from G-League

Mathiang was recalled from the G-League's Greensboro Swarm.

With reserve center Cody Zeller (knee) ruled out indefinitely, the Hornets have opted to recall Mathiang from the G-League to help bolster the frontcourt. He's played just three minutes at the NBA level this season, but has gotten extended run in Greensboro. There, he's seeing 24.1 minutes per game and is averaging 9.9 points and 8.5 rebounds. It remains unlikely he'll be fantasy relevant, however, especially since he's on a two-way deal and the team has other more experienced options to deploy, such as Frank Kaminsky and Johnny O'Bryant.
