Wizards' Caleb Homesley: Loses roster spot
The Wizards waived Homesley on Thursday, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
Homesley signed a two-year deal with the Wizards in mid-May that included a team option for 2023-24, but he'll lose his spot on the 15-man roster without having ever appeared in a game for Washington. The organization still appears to be high on the second-year pro out of Liberty, who will join the Wizards for the MGM Resorts Summer League with the hope of parlaying a solid showing into a training-camp deal or a two-way contract.

Wizards' Caleb Homesley: Inks deal with Wizards
Homesley signed a multi-year contract with the Wizards on Saturday.
The 24-year-old won't immediately join the team but will take part in the offseason development program. Homesley spent training camp with the Wizards and was assigned to the G League by the team.

Caleb Homesley: Productive as starter
Homesley posted 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt), six rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block over 32 minutes in Friday's 130-124 loss to Westchester.
Homesley started the final game of the regular season for the BayHawks, but he wasn't particularly efficient from the floor. However, he still scored in double figures while leading the team in steals. He's now averaging 9.3 points and 4.2 rebounds over 24.9 minutes per game this season.

Caleb Homesley: Efficient in relief
Homesley logged 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt), five rebounds, two steals and two blocks over 33 minutes in Thursday's 124-113 loss to the Vipers.
Homesley has had fairly limited production early in the G League season, but he posted a season-high 18 points in Thursday's defeat. He's now averaging 8.2 points and 3.9 rebounds over 23.8 minutes per contest this year.

Homesley compiled nine points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five assists, four rebounds, four steals and one block over 30 minutes in Monday's 115-110 win over Delaware.
Homesley has started four of the first eight games of the G League season, and he was relatively productive on both sides of the ball as a starter Monday. The 24-year-old has been somewhat inconsistent this year, averaging 7.1 points and 3.1 rebounds over 22.6 minutes per contest.

Homesley logged two points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one assist over 17 minutes in Friday's 138-126 win over Raptors 905.
Although Homesley started Friday's game, he failed to generate much production for the BayHawks. He didn't convert on any of his field goal attempts and wasn't effective in other areas. However, the team relied on its bench Friday as Erie rode a strong fourth quarter to a win.

Homesley was released after signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the team in November. The rookie will continue his quest to make an NBA roster after attending Liberty University.
