The NFL reinstated Jelks from suspension Tuesday, per the NFL transaction log.
Jelks will now have an opportunity to sign with a team in need of defensive end depth. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game since being drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Washington waived Jelks (undisclosed) on Tuesday with an injury designation, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
The 24-year-old has yet to play in an NFL game as he has bounced around the league after being drafted in the seventh round by the Cowboys in 2019. Unless he's scooped up off waivers by another team, Jelks will revert to Washington's injured reserve list.

The Cowboys selected Jelks in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 241st overall.
A twitchy athlete with good length at 6-foot-5 3/8 to go with an 83-inch wingspan, Jelks has the makings of a worthwhile dart throw in the seventh round. He racked up 22.5 tackles for loss over his last two seasons at Oregon and had 12 career passes batted down. With Randy Gregory and Taco Charlton on shaky footing with the Cowboys for different reasons, Jelks is someone who could see the field despite being a late-round flier.
