Dallas signed Drummond to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports reports.
Drummond spent the entire 2022 campaign on the Cowboys' practice squad and was never elevated to the active roster. With his new deal, he'll be able to stick around Dallas' organization and compete for a roster spot during the offseason.

Drummond didn't earn a spot on Dallas' 53-man roster during training camp as a depth receiver. Now, he will continue practicing with the team while he awaits an opportunity to get called up.

Dontario Drummond: Waived by Dallas
The Cowboys waived Drummond on Tuesday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.
Drummond signed with the Cowboys in May as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss, but he finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The 25-year-old wideout caught one of two targets for 13 yards during his only preseason game, but per Kyed, Dallas would like to sign Drummond to its practice squad if he clears waivers.

Drummond (groin) passed a physical examination and was activated off of the Cowboys' PUP list on Thursday.
Drummond will now be able to practice and play this preseason for Dallas. The 24-year-old should compete for one of the team's final wide receiver spots heading into the regular season.
