Angels' Zack Weiss: Cast off 40-man roster

Weiss was designated for assignment Tuesday.

The Angels needed to a clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Jose Marte's activation from the 60-day injured list, and Weiss is the casualty. Weiss has posted a 5.06 ERA over six relief appearances during his time in the majors this season.
