Frelick (shin) will start in right field and bat eighth in the first game of Friday's doubleheader in Cincinnati.
Frelick exited Wednesday's game versus the Giants after fouling a ball off his shin and then didn't play Thursday. That was viewed as more of a routine day off than an injury-related concern, however, and Frelick is back in there for the first game of the twin bill.
