Cubs' Kohl Stewart: Sent to Triple-A

Stewart was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Saturday.

His ERA shot to 5.68 after he gave up five earned runs in four innings Friday against the Cardinals. Stewart could return to the big-league rotation later this summer if he can show some improvement at Triple-A. Cory Abbott could be an option to take his rotation spot, and Adbert Alzolay (finger) will eventually rejoin the rotation.
