Laffey signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Monday, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.

Laffey, who last appeared in the majors with the Rockies in 2015, had been pitching for the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League. The 32-year-old left-hander has prior experience working as both a starter and reliever, but it's not immediately clear how the Diamondbacks plan to deploy him. Laffey will report to Triple-A Reno.
