Diamondbacks' Christian Lopes: Signs minors deal with Arizona

Lopes signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Monday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

The 28-year-old has yet to make his big-league debut. He can play anywhere in the infield or in the outfield corners, which helps his chances at winning a bench spot, but his .263/.359/.410 career line at the Triple-A level isn't particularly exciting.
