Drabek was designated for assignment Friday, Nick Piecoro of AZCentral.com reports.

The Diamondbacks shuffled their bullpen Friday, designating Drabek and purchasing the contract of fellow reliever Matt Buschmann. Drabek will now be subject to waivers and could ultimately be kept in the organization if the Diamondbacks choose to outright him to the minors. In three big league appearances last season, Drabek worked a 5.06 ERA with three strikeouts and two walks as a member of the White Sox.
