Dodgers' Alex Verdugo: On minor league DL with hamstring injury

Verdugo has been placed on the 7-day DL with Double-A Tulsa due to a hamstring injury.

The Dodgers' top hitting prospect was slashing .287/.344/.456 with seven home runs in 171 at-bats, which is impressive on the surface. It becomes even more noteworthy, however, when factoring in that he turned 20 on May 15, and is doing this against pitchers who are on average almost four years older than he is. The one negative on Verdugo's season to date is his 2-for-7 success rate on stolen-base attempts. Look for him to return in a few weeks, and if he picks up where he left off, Verdugo has a chance to finish the year as a top-20 prospect for dynasty leagues.
