Pena (groin) has been scratched from the Giants' lineup on Wednesday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Pena took a ground ball to the groin in Tuesday's game and is not feeling well enough to play on Wednesday. After a hot June with the Giants, Pena has slowed down in July, hitting just .240/.283/.380 in 85 at-bats. With the reports of Joe Panik possibly being activated this weekend, Pena will see his playing time diminish. Grant Green will start in place of Pena on Wednesday.
