Giants' Taylor Jones: Claimed by Giants

Jones was claimed off waivers by the Giants on Friday.

Jones was designated for assignment by the Astros after Blake Taylor was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday. The 28-year-old will now head to Sacramento and join the Giants' Triple-A affiliate, a level at which he is slashing .263/.370/.456 on the season. Jose Rojas was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
