Jaime Schultz: Parts ways with Mariners

Schultz (oblique) was released by the Mariners on Tuesday.

Schultz landed on the injured list at Triple-A Tacoma with an oblique issue in late May, and he was activated from the shelf over the weekend before being released. The 30-year-old appeared in five games before suffering the injury and surrendered 10 earned runs with an 8:11 K:BB over six innings.
