Mariners' Heath Hembree: Signs minors deal with M's

Hembree signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners on Friday.

Hembree turned in 1.1 scoreless frames during his lone major-league appearance last season, and he gave up three runs in 13 innings between the Tigers' and Rays' Triple-A affiliates. The 35-year-old righty will report to Triple-A Tacoma and offer the Mariners organizational bullpen depth.
