Mariners' Sam Haggerty: Back in big leagues

The Mariners recalled Haggerty from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Haggerty opened the season on the injured list after missing some time following an unspecified medical procedure, but he hit .344/.417/.375 in 17 games with Tacoma upon returning to action April 5. The 29-year-old will operate in a utility role, with some starts against left-handed pitching possible.
