Marlins' Jorge Guzman: Shifts to 60-day IL

Guzman (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

The 25-year-old landed on the shelf with soreness with his right elbow in mid-August, so the move to the 60-day IL will bring an end to his 2021 campaign. Guzman missed the first half of the season while rehabbing an elbow issue and made only 11 appearances between Triple-A and the majors before suffering another injury.
