Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Hitting and throwing

Edwards (foot) is able to hit and throw at the Marlins' spring training complex in Florida, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Edwards in on the injured list with an infection in his left foot. While it is understandably keeping him from running, he is able to perform other baseball activities. It's not clear when he might be ready for a rehab assignment.
