Mets' A.J. Ewing: Picked by Mets

The Mets have selected Ewing with the 134th overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft.

Ewing might be more of a second baseman than a shortstop, but the Mets announced him at the latter position. He is on the smaller side but has shown some nice pop. The Mets will attempt to sign Ewing away from his commitment to Alabama.
