Nationals' DJ Peters: Signs minors deal with Nationals

Peters signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Friday.

Peters signed with the Lotte Giants of the KBO in December but didn't have much success, getting released back in July. While he was able to trim his strikeout rate to a respectable 21.8 percent, well below the 34.2 percent he managed in his 70-game MLB debut last season, he hit an unremarkable .228/.299/.402 in 85 games. He'll report to Triple-A Rochester for now.
