Hanifee underwent successful Tommy John surgery Wednesday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Hanifee had been on the 7-day minor-league injured list since mid-May, and he'll miss the remainder of the season following his surgery. The right-hander didn't make any appearances to begin the year, and he could miss the start of the 2022 campaign while he recovers.
