Pirates' Dustin Fowler: Starts up rehab assignment

Fowler (undisclosed) began a rehab assignment with the Pirates' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate Monday, going 0-for-2 with two strikeouts in his first game with the club.

Fowler has been sidelined at Triple-A Indianapolis for just over two months with an unspecified injury. He'll likely play at least a few more games in the lower levels of the minors before rejoining the Pirates' top affiliate.
