Rangers' Cory Abbott: Inks MiLB deal with Rangers

The Rangers signed Abbott to a minor-league contract Saturday

Abbott had been serving as a starting pitcher in the Mexican League and has joined Triple-A Round Rock's rotation. He made his first start for Round Rock on Sunday, allowing five runs (three earned) over four frames. The 29-year-old last pitched in the big leagues in 2023 with the Nationals.
