Rangers' Hunter Wood: Undergoes elbow surgery

Wood underwent surgery on his right elbow Monday, Chris Halicke of SI.com reports.

The surgery wasn't Tommy John but was still a serious one. He's expected to miss at least eight months, placing his return date sometime during next year's spring training.
