Rays' Tristan Peters: Optioned to Triple-A

The Rays optioned Peters to Triple-A Durham on Monday.

Peters started three straight games in center field after having his contract selected Friday, but he now finds himself back in the minors after going 0-for-9 with five strikeouts. His roster spot will be absorbed by Everson Pereira.
