Watson received an anti-inflammatory shot in his shoulder Tuesday and will be shut down for a few weeks, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
Watson, in his third season within the Royals' organization, has posted a 5.71 ERA and a 26:18 K:BB ratio over his first 34.2 innings with Single-A Lexington. He'll take a few weeks to allow his injured shoulder time to heal before returning to Lexington's starting rotation sometime during June.
