Tigers' Angel Nesbitt: Designated for assignment

Nesbitt was designated for assignment on Friday.

The Tigers needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster after they signed Alex Avila to a one-year deal, and Nesbitt was the casualty. If he clears waivers he will likely spend most of 2017 at Triple-A serving as organizational bullpen depth.
