Tigers' Angel Nesbitt: Struggles in Triple-A lead to demotion

Nesbitt returned from the disabled list this week after a 16-day stint because of a left ankle injury.

Nesbitt has struggled this season. He racked up a 6.66 ERA with Triple-A Toledo before being demoted to Double-A Erie earlier in July, and then promptly hit the DL. An injury to his right ankle in spring training had derailed his bid for a roster spot with the Tigers, and now he'll be hard-pressed to even get a call-up come September.
