Tigers' Ramon Rosso: Loses out on roster spot

The Tigers reassigned Rosso to their minor-league camp Monday.

Detroit cut Rosso and Wily Peralta to reduce their group of players at big-league camp to 40, after neither pitcher had reported to camp while awaiting work visas, according to Evan Woodbery of MLive.com. As a reliever, Rosso won't need much time to build up once the visa issue is resolved and he arrives in the United States, but he'll likely be sidelined for the start of Triple-A Toledo's season.
