Garcia was outrighted to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday after clearing waivers, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
At some point after optioning Garcia to Triple-A over the weekend, the Twins removed him from the 40-man roster and exposed him to waivers, only for the 24-year-old right-hander to go unclaimed. Garcia has made 11 big-league appearances between St. Louis and Minnesota in 2021, giving up 20 earned runs on 19 hits and eight walks over 14.2 innings.
