Lin was designated for assignment by the Twins on Friday, s Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Lin was with the team briefly to cover for other players who had been placed on the COVID-19 injured list. He got into just one game during his time with the team and didn't receive a single plate appearance.
